
Meagan Jane is a singer/songwriter originating from the NSW Central Coast.
With roots being in Country music, Meagan adds a rock flare that creates a rustic undertone to her style. Not to mention her incredible sounding vocals influenced by the likes of Alanis Morisette, Missy Higgins & Fleetwood Mac, Meagan’s voice has the ability to make you feel a sense of warmth & home.
Meagan has always had a close relationship with music from a young age, From finding her voice at age 12, to learning on her first guitar at 14 then to studying at the Australian Institute of Music, Sydney in her early adult life. After years of fine-tuning her craft and finding her original style, Meagan performs regularly across the Central Coast, Newcastle & Hunter Regions. Her warm vocals along with rhythmic guitar and songwriting ability will draw you in and take you on a journey you wont forget.
With a true love for songwriting, Meagan draws from past experiences, memories & personal loss, telling stories straight from her heart. Meagan released her first debut single ‘Kiss Me’ in March, 2021, a song about the vulnerabilities of love & learning to let go. ‘Kiss Me’ reached #12 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts, a big achievement for Meagan’s first original release.
Since releasing ‘Kiss Me’, Meagan has been in the studio working hard on a bunch of new songs for her debut EP ‘Guide Myself Home’ that was released in late 2023. .The first track released from the album ‘Born On the Coast’ set the tone for Meagan’s EP, with its upbeat tempo & catchy chorus. Released earlier this year, the track has been very popular with her audience base, with multiple online streams, plays & requests on radio across the globe. The track gives listeners an inside into Meagan Jane’s childhood growing up on the coast & will leave you with a sense of nostalgia. The music video for ‘Born On The Coast’ visually brings the story behind the lyrics to life, showcasing the essence and beauty of living on the coast.
The song that made it crystal clear to Meagan that she needed to create something that was true to herself and her artistry is the title track to her EP ‘Guide Myself Home’. This pop-country track began as a break up song but lyrically turned into a song about finding yourself, following your dreams & not holding back. Featured on ABC Country, Grass Roots, the positive upbeat energy that the track brings will leave anyone feeling uplifted! The music video for ‘Guide Myself Home’ shot at the beautiful Stanley Park in Fullerton Cove boasts energy and Inspiration as Meagan and her band create fun-filled performance scenes alongside Meagan travelling in her old-school 1983 commodore.
Meagan Jane latest release ‘Hey Mum’ was a true testament to Meagan’s heartfelt side to her writing. A dedication to her Mother & the love between Mother & daughter. Hey Mum was released on Mother’s day and shared with Mum’s all around the world. The track has been featured on radio station COASTFM & as an article in the Coast Community News newspaper.
When Meagan isn’t performing live or spilling her heart to paper, she devotes herself to her other passion of teaching music. Running her own studio ‘Meagan Jane Vocal studio’, she loves teaching young aspiring singers the wonders of the voice and building their confidence in performing and songwriting.
Meagan has just gotten back from the Tamworth Country Music Festival 2025 where she performed alongside the ever so talented Bill Chambers at the ‘Bill Chamber sessions’, Busked along Peel St with her duo DENIM & performed at the TSA Writers In The Round alongside fellow musicians Mitchi Renegen & Coral Renee.
